On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the national "Belt and Road" initiative, Beijing Commercial School took enterprises to the sea and participated in the "Walking the Silk Road" and "Empowering the Silk Road" activities under the "Silk Road Workshop" platform built by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee. The Silk Road Workshop platform is a practical cooperation and people-to-people exchange platform of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee for Southeast Asian and South Asian countries. The platform coordinates the resources of local governments, universities, enterprises, and institutions in China to carry out technical skills training, services for the benefit of the people, study abroad and short-term exchanges, enterprise docking and cooperation, cultural exchanges and other activities with Southeast Asian and South Asian countries, so as to promote friendly exchanges and people-to-people exchanges between the people of the region. As the deputy director unit of the National Optometry Committee, the leading group school for the formulation of teaching standards for optometry in secondary vocational schools, and an important optometry talent training base in Beijing, the school shoulders the responsibility of China's optometry education to go international. Beijing Daming Eyeglasses Co., Ltd. is a Chinese time-honored brand with a history of 86 years, and the school belongs to Beijing Xianglong Asset Management Co., LTD. The school and the enterprise jointly built the Beijing high-level practical training base "Qin Yingrui Optometry Master Studio". In this activity, the school and the enterprise jointly sent the core team members of the studio to provide professional services of optometry for the Nepalese and Malaysian people, and carried out refractive screening, eyeglass repair services, eye health knowledge popularization, reading glasses and magnifying glasses donation. At the same time, explore professional cooperation and skills training with local vocational colleges, promote exchanges and cooperation with local relevant institutions and enterprises, so as to better serve the needs of people along the "Belt and Road", enhance friendship between people, promote education and people-to-people exchanges.
   
"Walking the Silk Road" Kathmandu Station
The "Silk Road Walk" event was successfully held in Kathmandu. Representatives of related Nepalese political parties, think tanks and non-governmental organizations such as Arniko Association, South Asia China Friendship Association, Nepal-China Research Center, South Asia China Friendship and Cooperation Organization, Nepal Chinese Culture and Education Council attended the event. More than 1,000 Nepalese people actively participated in the event. We provide free optometry to the Nepalese people. Professional teachers and business masters overcame the hot weather and difficult inspection conditions to choose suitable mirrors for the public. The event site was unprecedented warm, and local people expressed their gratitude to us. After the event, Ambassador Chen Song of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal cordially met with President Xing Lianxin and other representatives of the universities and spoke highly of the event.
   
"Walking Silk Road" Kuching Station
"Walk the Silk Road" to Kuching, the capital of the Malaysian state of Sarawak. The Deputy Prime Minister of Sarawak State Government, Shen Kwai Yin, attended the event with a number of leaders of the Sarawak People's United Party, local councillors of the Indigenous Conservative United Party and relevant officials. Nearly a thousand Kuching people poured into the venue to receive free medical and optometry services arranged by domestic vocational colleges and enterprises, and happily received food and oil packages donated by the Friends of the Malaysian Silk Road Club, as well as hundreds of solar street lights installed by the school for the local poor areas, lighting up the countryside for the convenience of the people, and won praise from the public.
 
"Walking Silk Road" Kuala Lumpur Station
"Walk the Silk Road" came to Kuala Lumpur, where Azman Abidine, Political Secretary to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, attended the event and hundreds of Malaysians attended. At the scene, professional teachers and business masters made continuous efforts to perform refractive screening and presbyopia fitting for more than 200 people. After the activity, the teachers of the school had a cordial interaction with the children in the local monastery.
