From July 15 to 18, Yuan Xia and Tan Lijuan, two teachers of the College of Medicine, under the leadership of Yang Haiying, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, went to Kuala Lumpur, Kuching and other cities in Malaysia to carry out free medical treatment and drug kit distribution activities.
This free clinic is to promote the implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative, serve the national strategic needs and the high-quality social and economic development of ethnic areas, and comprehensively expand the new field of vocational education opening to the outside world, organized by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, invited by the Friends of the Malaysian Silk Road Club, the first "Walking the Silk Road" and "Empowering the Silk Road" activities of the Silk Road Workshop platform.
Within three days, two teachers from the medical school, with the strong support of the local government, carried out basic physical examinations of more than 400 people such as blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation, heart rate, pulse, and body temperature, as well as abnormal analysis and conduction medical treatment, and distributed free medicine kits. This activity reflects the responsibility of medical teachers and the mission of vocational education, and truly practices the "Belt and Road" Initiative with practical actions to enhance the international influence of the college.
