On the afternoon of July 18, with the strong support and cooperation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and local political parties and associations such as Malaysian MCA, the Agricultural Development Symposium between Tongren Vocational and Technical College and Tanjung Malim Agriculture Bureau was held in the conference room of the Agriculture Bureau in Bateng Patang and Mualin District. Professor Zhao Huifang and Dr. Gong Xiangsheng from the College of Agriculture, Associate Professor Yuan Xia and Lecturer Tan Lijuan from the College of Medicine attended the symposium. Siti Ruhaida binti Che Ani, Batang Patang and Mualin District Agriculture Department Officer, Muhammad Aizat bin Shaari, Batang Patang and Mualin District Agriculture Department Officer, and Muhammad Amzar, Batang Patang and Mualin District Agriculture Department Assistant Officer bin Mat Fuad and interns attended.


At the beginning of the meeting, Siti Ruhaida binti Che Ani, an official of the Agriculture Department of Bateng Patang and Mualin District, gave a comprehensive and detailed introduction to the current planting area, yield and benefits of vegetables and fruits, as well as the support policies of the state in agriculture, and the problems faced by the agricultural development of Tanjung Marin. Professor Zhao Huifang communicated with the staff of the Agriculture Bureau on the agricultural situation in Guizhou, the adaptability of vegetable varieties, biological prevention and control, and the combination of planting and breeding, etc. Dr. Gong Xiangsheng communicated with them on how to reduce carbon emissions in agricultural development.

Through this discussion, both sides have a preliminary understanding of their respective agricultural development, and both hope to have more in-depth scientific research in agriculture in the next step, jointly promote the development of agricultural industry, and inject new vitality into the "Belt and Road" initiative.
