On December 1, 2022, the International Department of the CPC Central Committee held a publicity and promotion event entitled "Decoding the Spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress". About 300 people attended the event, including leaders of political parties and organizations from Southeast Asia and South Asia, experts, scholars, and representatives of universities from China and abroad. Chen Zhou, Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee attended the event by video and delivered a speech.

Vice Foreign Minister Chen Zhou introduced the 20 major achievements of the CPC National Congress and elaborated on the scientific connotation, essential features and global significance of Chinese-style modernization, indicating that the CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with political parties of neighboring countries, jointly explore a modernization path suited to their national conditions, and serve the development of their respective countries and the progress of human civilization. The foreign side congratulated on the successful holding of the 20th CPC National Congress and spoke highly of China's major achievements in economic and social development in the new era. They expressed their expectation to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with the CPC, deepen cooperation in various fields and jointly safeguard regional peace and prosperity.

Experts from the China Pudong University made presentations on "Lessons from the Experience of China's Modernization Path" and "China's New Development provides New Opportunities for the World". Afterwards, Chinese and foreign participants communicated and interacted with each other on future cooperation and exchanges.

This publicity activity is mainly for leaders of political parties and organizations in Southeast Asia and South Asia. The International Department of the CPC Central Committee will actively build a platform and carry out various forms of exchange activities to provide a window for regional political parties to understand the Chinese-style modernization, deepen experience exchange in governance, and inspire and achieve each other on the road to modernization, said Vice Minister Chen Zhou. In response to the concerns of regional political parties and youth groups, the International Department of the CPC Central Committee has promoted practical cooperation, explored new platforms such as the Silk Road Workshop, and built Bridges for cooperation in vocational education and people's livelihood, helping to consolidate talent support for the modernization drive.
